Welsh Terrier
My breed was originally called the Carnarvonshire Welsh Terrier and my ancestors have hunted otters and badgers in North Wales for nearly 300 years.
I am rather long-legged for a terrier and I have a fearless personality without a trace of viciousness. I am energetic and lively with a sort of busy-body personality, so children and I get along just fine.
My water-resistant double coat is wiry and dense. If I am going to be a show dog, it will have to be hand stripped, but If I am going to be a pet member of the family, I can just wear a nice haircut that is done with shears or scissors.
When fully grown, I am between 14 and 15.5 inches tall (35.6 to 39.4 centimeters) and I weigh about 20 pounds (9 kilograms).
