Staffordshire Bull Terrier
I am muscled, strong and self-confident. I have a broad chest and a short, close coat that comes in red, fawn, white, black or blue -- and any combination of these colors.
I was originally bred in Britain to be a ratter and a fighter, but when those sports were outlawed, I started doing other things -- like being a show dog!
I'm a bit smaller than the American Staffordshire Terrier, but he is a very close relative of mine. I don't always get along very well with other dogs, so keep that in mind if you already have other dogs at home.
I can be a devoted and faithful people companion if I am trained correctly, starting at an early age.
When fully grown, I am between 14 and 16 inches tall (35.6 to 40.6 centimeters) and I weigh between 24 and 38 pounds (10.8 to 17.1 kilograms).
