Sealyham Terrier

My breed was developed way back in the mid 1800s by Captain J.O. Tucker Edwardes because he wanted a helper for his Otterhounds.

I have a low slung, longish body and a long broad head. My wiry outercoat is solid white except for some patches on my head, and I have a great weather-proof undercoat that helps to keep me dry.

I am pretty strong-willed and I can be assertive and aggressive if not trained and handled properly, but I can also be a good companion and I'm just wonderful in the show ring!

When fully grown, I am between 10 and 11 inches tall (25.4 to 27.9 centimeters) and I weigh between 22 and 25 pounds (9.9 to 11.3 kilograms).
