 Poodle (Toy)
I am the smallest of the three sizes of poodle, having been recognized as a separate breed in the 1950s.
My Standard Poodle cousins were able-bodied water dogs and hunters, but I am mostly an able-bodied pet and companion.
I have the same features, intelligence and grooming requirements in a much smaller package.
I am probably the most popular breed for people who want a dog who is attractive, intelligent, and easy to carry around. I do like to ride in the car!
When fully grown, I am between 9 and 11 inches tall (22.9 to 27.9 centimeters) and I weigh between 8 and 12 pounds (3.6 to 5.4 kilograms).
