 Norwegian Buhund
I am an ancient breed of Norwegian Sheepdog, but I am known to be able to herd anything, including goats, ducks and turkeys.
I am slightly smaller than my early Norse relatives and today I work mostly as a guard dog. I am even-tempered and reliable, but I can be strong-willed.
Firm, fair handling and obedience training while I am young is probably a very good idea. I am known for my courage and dedication to the task at hand and I am a loyal dog to my people.
My double coat requires brushing, but no elaborate grooming or trimming.
When fully grown, I am between 17 and 18 inches tall (43.2 to 45.7 centimeters) and I weigh between 40 and 50 pounds (18 to 22.5 kilograms).
