Breeders are listed below the breed description.
Kyi-Leo
My breed was originated in the state of California and established in 1972. I am the result of a 20 year selective breeding program, with the Lhasa Apso and the Maltese being the major players in my heritage.
I am small, but solid, and I think that I got the best of both of my early component breeds.
I have the Lhasa’s suspicion of strangers, so I make a great guard dog in a small package.
My long, profuse coat needs regular brushing to keep it from matting, but no elaborate cutting, shearing and shaping is in order.
I usually come in black and white, which is what most people seem to like best, but some of my cousins are other colors and I think that they are very pretty, too.
When fully grown, I am between 8 and 12 inches tall (20.3 to 30.5 centimeters).
