 Japanese Chin
I am not certain about my early beginnings or how I came to be in Japan in the first place, because I have heard several conflicting stories, but I am certain that my breed was perfected by Japanese breeders centuries ago.
I am a tiny, ornate dog with long, silky hair. Some people say that I am ‘serious’. Maybe that is because I have an uncanny sense of who is a friend and who is not.
I am a fine watchdog for my size, and I make a charming, fun little companion.
When fully grown, I am about 9 inches tall (22.9 centimeters) and I weigh between 4 and 7 pounds (1.8 to 3.2 kilograms).
