My ancestry includes Bulldog, Bloodhound and Portuguese herding dogs.
I am very big, very strong and very brave. All of these traits are very good ONLY when they are coupled with early obedience training and socialization skills.
I have an intense loyalty to my people and an aversion to strangers, making me a wonderful guard dog.
I am not well-known in the United States, but my popularity is growing as folks hear about my versatility and loyalty.
My coat is short and straight, requiring nothing more than minimal grooming.
When fully grown, I am between 24 and 30 inches tall (61 to 76.2 centimeters) and I weigh between 95 and 130 pounds (42.8 to 58.5 kilograms).
