 Basenji
I am known as the ‘barkless' dog because I don't make the traditional barking noise that you associate with regular dogs.
I do make noises, even though it isn’t exactly barking. It is more like yodeling and not nearly as disturbing to close neighbors.
I am an extremely keen hunter and am classified in the subgroup of hounds known as sighthounds.
I am very intelligent and speedy -- so much so, as a matter of fact, that I can be quite a challenge as a house pet. Some folks call this trait "stubbornness", but I prefer to call it "wit".
In addition, I am naturally neat and clean-cut, requiring absolute minimal grooming talent on your part.
When fully grown, I am between 16 and 17 inches tall (40.6 to 43.2 centimeters) and I weigh between 21 and 24 pounds (9.5 to 10.8 kilograms).
