Australian Terrier
My breed was developed in Australia for the purpose of having both an effective ‘ratter' and a busy-body watchdog type packaged in a small body for easy maintenance -- and it worked! But, if you don't have any rats, that's O.K., because then I can double my talent for ‘watch-dogging.'
I can be pretty noisy for my size, and I'll let you know when somebody comes around our house. As an additional bonus, I don't have to go for long jogs to get enough exercise (but I do rather like to go with you in the car) and I don't eat much.
I make a fine choice for apartment life and I can be a good doggy friend to have around.
When fully grown, I am about 10 inches tall (25.4 centimeters) and I weigh between 12 and 14 pounds (5.4 to 6.3 kilograms).
