Argentine Dogo
Sometimes I am called the Dogo Argentino and if you can't figure out exactly what breed I remind you of, it is probably because of the variety of breeds in my ancestry.
I am told that my breed was developed through selective breeding of the best examples of many breeds, including: Boxer, Great Pyranees, Bull Terrier, Irish Wolfhound, Spanish Mastiff, Pointer, Bulldog, and Dogue de Bordeaux. Now, that is a pretty diverse heritage!
Fortunately for me, the results of this breeding program were quite successful. I seem to have gotten the best qualities of a lot of good dogs. I am big and rather imposing looking, so folks pay attention when I am "on duty". I need only three things in order to be a first class companion: plenty of exercise, obedience training, and lots of love! A word of caution: a few of my relatives were born deaf, which is something that some other all-white breeds have to contend with.
When fully grown, I am between 24 and 27 inches tall (61 to 68.6 centimeters) and I weigh between 85 and 110 pounds (38.3 to 49.5 kilograms).
