 Airedale Terrier
There are some good reasons why I am often referred to as the King of Terriers, not the least of which is the fact that I am the tallest of all the terrier breeds.
I am a great hunter and I also have a good reputation as a watchdog.
My double coat is dense and hard. If you want me to enter dog shows and win ribbons for you, you will have to hand strip it, but if I am just going to stay around the house with you, I can wear a nice Airedale cut that is done with shears or scissors.
I like children, but sometimes I get into trouble because I am too rough and boisterous when I try to play with them. I've been thinking that maybe I should go to a training class to learn how to play more gently. I've asked around, and that seems to have worked for most of my relatives.
When fully grown, I am between 22 and 24 inches tall (55.9 to 61 centimeters) and I weigh between 40 and 44 pounds (18 to 19.8 kilograms).
